Popular Fishing Facebook Page Posts
Browsing around on our fishing Facebook page ( TheFishingStone ) I found this great tool that I was not aware of Facebook Insights. This is a tool that lets you know what type of reach your posts have received. I was surprised by the number of SHARES and LIKES that my Facebook page has received.
So I rounded up the most popular ones and I figured I would share them with you here. Some of the graphics were made by me, others were sent to me. I’ll try to give proper credit to the owners. Please let me know what you think of them.
Should We Go Fishing Today?

Going fishing today makes sense because the weather looks perfect. The fish are biting early this season, so we could get a good catch. Plus, it’s been a while since we spent time outside. The pond is calm, and the day isn’t too hot. If we go now, we can beat the weekend crowds. Waiting might mean missing the best hours for fishing. It’s a simple choice—grab the gear and head out. The fish won’t wait, and neither should we.
Lets not forget that any day that ends with a “Y’ is supposed to be a good fishing day. Heck, any day possible we should go fishing.
When You Lose Your Favorite Lure

When a fisherman sees you lose your favorite lure, the look on his face drops fast. His eyes narrow, and his jaw tightens. You can tell he’s annoyed. Sometimes, he even rolls his eyes or looks frustrated. That moment captures a mix of disappointment and disbelief.
Like he’s thinking, “Really? That’s the one I wanted.” His body language gets tense, showing he’s already planning the next move. It’s a quick flash of annoyance that says, “That was my good bait.” The look is clear: losing that lure hits hard and hits fast.
Did you know that some old fishing lures could be worth $1000’s of dollars! I found out this recently while doing some research on the topic, check out the article here.
When You Want to Go Fishing…

The look fishermen get when you say you want to go fishing but have to work is pure disappointment. Their eyes often narrow, lips tighten, and a quick sigh escapes. It’s like they’re disappointed, but they hide it fast. Sometimes they glance at the clock, knowing they can’t go. Other times they just stare into space, lost in thought.
That face says it all—longing mixed with frustration. They know work will keep them from the water today. Their mood shifts instantly, from hopeful to resigned. It’s a look that says, “Maybe tomorrow,” even if they already doubt it. They try to act cool, but deep down, they’re wishing they were casting a line instead of sitting at a desk.
Do Not Forget Bait

Two guys are sitting in a small boat out on the lake. The water is calm, and the sun is high. One guy looks at the other and asks, “Bob, did you bring the bait?” There’s a little pause as he waits for an answer.
Bob fumbles in his pocket and then shakes his head. The boat rocks gently as they both realize they’re missing the one thing they needed. The silence is filled with the soft splash of water hitting the sides. They sit there, wondering if the day’s catch is already slipping away.
We also made an article about it “Never forget these 26 important things when you go fishing“, they can surely ruin your fishing trip!
Tag Your Fishing Buddy

Tag your fishing buddy! Bob, we should hit the water today. Share this post with him so he knows. Missing out on a day like this is just not right. Inviting him now can make the trip happen. A quick share is all it takes. Let’s get fishing!
Every Man Waits for Those 3 Little Words

I saw a picture that said: “Every Woman Wants to Hear Those 3 Little Words”. So, I figured I would make “The Fishing Guy Version”.
Every fisherman dreams of hearing those three little words: “Have fun fishing!” It’s the signal he waits for all day long. Those words mean his girl gets it, understands the quiet hours and patience involved. When she says them, it’s like a nod she supports his passion.
It’s more than just words—it’s a sign he’s free to enjoy his time without worry. For him, those words make the long hours worth it. They remind him that what he loves is appreciated. When she says them, he can focus on the water, the fish, and just relax. And every time, he hopes they’ll come quick, the way those three words always do.
The Best Fishing Pun

If you can think of a better fish pun, let minnow. Puns are about catching attention quickly, so a clever twist always wins. Don’t be shy to cast your line and see what you get. Sometimes a simple wordplay makes your message stand out more.
When you come up with a good one, it sticks with people longer. So, if you’re feeling creative, don’t hold back—throw out your best fishy pun and see if it gets a bite. Leave it in the comments and let everyone sea how funny you can be.
Some Fishing Equipment Should Be Explained

Reasons why I can see why this was installed like this: Did not know the right way, no tow package, maybe the ball was so rusted that it could not come off… I really don’t know. What do you think?

Do NOT Forget The Fishing Check List

This was an image that was requested from our Things NOT to forget on Your Fishing Trip post, so I made it and added it to the post.

Watch Out for Fish and Game

Be cautious when you head out to fish because Fish and Game officers are becoming more sneaky in their patrols. They often blend into the environment, watching quietly from hidden spots to catch anglers breaking the rules. These officers can be anywhere—by the river’s bend, down a trail, or even in a boat—waiting patiently to spot someone fishing without the proper license or fishing outside the legal limits.
In the end, the key is awareness. Knowing that Fish and Game patrols can be discreet should motivate anglers to be more careful and respectful of the rules. It’s about keeping the sport honest and ensuring fish populations stay healthy. If you’re serious about fishing, remember that these officers are watching, often without a sound or visible sign. Staying within limits and following laws isn’t just about avoiding fines—it’s about respecting the environment and keeping the fishing tradition alive.
Which is The Worst Fishing Item To Forget

The worst item to forget while fishing is the fishing license. Without it, you can’t fish legally, no matter what bait or tackle you have. Even if you have a great bait and the best tackle box, getting caught without a license can end the trip fast. Beer isn’t essential, and forgetting bait can be annoying but not a game-changer. Tackle boxes help organize gear but aren’t critical at that moment. The license is the one thing that keeps you on the water legally. Forget it, and all the other gear won’t matter.
I made this graphic and it was so popular that I made an article about it ” Things Not To Forget on Your Next Fishing Trip “. People sure forget lots of things on their way to their favorite fishing spot.
Name a Worst Fishing Moment

Here is another image that was sent to us. It was a very popular image and I can see why.
This has happened to me on several occasions, which is the reason why I do not use this type of fishing reel.

I Believe I Will Go Fishing

Everyone needs something to hold on to, a reason to get up each morning and face whatever comes their way. For some, it’s family, faith, or a passion they love. For me, I believe I will go fishing. It’s more than just the act of casting a line and waiting for a bite. Fishing serves as a quiet reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things. It’s about being out in nature, feeling the breeze, hearing the water ripple, and disconnecting from the noise of everyday life.
On days when the world seems to rush past me, I find comfort in the anticipation of a quiet morning by the lake or river, waiting for a fish to take the bait. It’s where I find clarity and peace, away from screens and deadlines. Fishing gives me a sense of purpose, a small adventure in a busy world. It’s not just about catching fish but about the moments of stillness that re-center my mind and soul.
Whether I catch something or not, the act itself lifts my spirits and reminds me that sometimes, believing in the simple pleasures is enough to keep going. This belief keeps me grounded, and I firmly believe that a good day of fishing can turn around even the gloomiest mood. It’s a small tradition that comforts me, a quiet escape that restores my energy and hope amid life’s chaos.
